Did you know that the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program is a sister program to the Child Nutrition Programs? Both programs are under the umbrella of the USDA Food and Nutrition Service. WIC offers one-on-one nutrition counseling including a wide-array of nutrition education, personalized breastfeeding support, referrals to other public health programs and health care providers. Participants also receive nutritious foods like dairy, whole grain items, fresh fruits and vegetables.
