RISE

What is RISE Summative Assessments?

The RISE assessment is a Utah state-mandated standardized test that is computer adaptive. It measures students achievement in the follow subjects:

  • English Language Arts

  • Mathematics

  • Science (grade 4-8)

  • Writing (grade 5 & 8)

What are RISE Benchmarks?

RISE benchmarks are diagnostic assessments provided to our schools to help gauge student understanding of specific concepts and skills within the Utah Core Standards. They help teachers identify student strengths and weaknesses, informing instructional strategies and preparing students for the year-end RISE Summative assessments. Unlike the summative tests, benchmark results are not used to predict summative performance.
