Meeting Minutes

1. Attendance
   1. Katie Amsden- Administrator, Marissa Meadows - Secretary, Alyson Adams - Chair, Katie East - Vice Chair,  

Welcomed by Katie Amsden

1. Watched the School Community Councils Roles & Responsibilities Video

2. Community Council members and roles were discussed.

3. Current spending and budget
   1. Mrs. Amsden gave an update on current spending. Budget = $79,366.11.
   2. The money has been allocated for; aide salaries  ($50,000), level books, Supercharged/Power Reader ($2,000), Academic vocabulary materials, 3rd-6th ($5,000), and technology, Chromebooks/Promethean Boards ($20,000), substitute teachers ($2,000).
      
      
4.  2023-2024 School-wide Reading Goal was discussed.
   

   1. 60% of students in grades K-6 will show typical or above typical growth on the Acadience Reading Test.

5. Other Items of Business
   1. Alyssa asked if Burch Creek Elementary School was in danger of losing our Title 1 status. Mrs. Amsden said that Title 1 money is dependent on free and reduced lunch applications.
   2. There is a Title 1 District Meeting Wed, Sept. 20th
   3. Mrs. Amsden will send out a Google Form to vote from the Council positions by Friday, Sept. 15. Google form sent out via school REMIND
6. Adjourment
   1. Katie East motioned and Alyssa Adams seconded the motion to adjourn.
