Community Council Meeting Minutes

November 8, 2018

I.                    In attendance: Seth Robinson, Nicole McGarry, Melanie Wilhelmsen, Amy Rich, Rick Proffer, and Jessica Volpe

II.                  The community council reviewed the Trust Land Plan for the 2018-2019 school year.  The money will be spent on aides for interventions and small group instruction, technology, and an AmeriCorps employee. 

III.                The community council reviewed the financial expenditures that had been made between July 1 and November 8, 2018 and all expenditures were in compliance with how the community council allocated the funds to be used. 

IV.                $12,000 of Trust Land funds were allocated for technology use during the 2018-2019 school year.  The council discussed different ways to use that money and determined that purchasing a chrome book cart would be highly beneficial to Burch Creek Elementary students.  Nicole McGarry motioned to order a chrome book cart as soon as possible so it can hopefully be used for half of this school year.  Jessica Volpe seconded the motion.  All were in favor.  Rick Proffer will order the chrome book in early to mid-November. 

V.                  The community council reviewed the school Title I Plan.  It was submitted November 1, 2018, and all community council members had signed it at that time. 

VI.                The next community council meeting will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. in the Burch Creek Media Center.
