Burch Creek Elementary Wins Utah Mammoth “Tusky Day” Celebration!

Students and staff at Burch Creek Elementary recently experienced an unforgettable day after winning the exciting “Tusky Day” celebration hosted by the Utah Mammoth!

The Utah Mammoth organization brought an incredible day of hockey-themed fun to our school, and our students absolutely loved every minute of it. From street hockey games to obstacle courses and the always-popular slap shot board, the entire event gave students a chance to stay active, learn new skills, and experience the excitement of hockey firsthand.

One of the biggest surprises of the day came during a special school assembly when Tusky made an unforgettable entrance! Students erupted with excitement as Tusky burst into the gym with confetti flying everywhere. The energy and enthusiasm were contagious as Tusky tossed Utah Mammoth prizes and merchandise to cheering students throughout the assembly.

The Utah Mammoth also generously gifted Burch Creek Elementary a beautiful Utah Mammoth flag for the gym and presented our amazing principal with a signed jersey from Dylan Guenther — a moment our school community will never forget.

Most importantly, this experience introduced many of our students to the game of hockey in a fun and meaningful way. The kids have absolutely loved learning about hockey, practicing new skills, and discovering a sport that brings teamwork, determination, and excitement together.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the Utah Mammoth organization, Tusky, and everyone involved in making this day so special for our students. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to creating positive experiences for kids made a lasting impact on our school community.
