Burch Creek Elementary’s sixth graders reached for the stars as they designed, built, and launched their own rockets while exploring the science of space flight. Through this hands-on experience, students learned about angles, height, and trajectory, combining math and science in an exciting real-world challenge. The project sparked curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for the wonders of space exploration.

At Burch Creek Elementary, we proudly honored America’s 250th birthday through music, art, learning, and patriotism. Each grade came together to perform classic American songs and the National Anthem, while our halls were filled with creative projects and activities celebrating our nation’s history and spirit. We are grateful to live in this great country and proud to be Americans.

We had an incredible experience at Burch Creek Elementary last Friday as we welcomed author and illustrator Ashley Wolff to visit our Barracudas! She inspired our students with meaningful lessons about perseverance, the importance of practicing to reach your goals, and dreaming big. Our students were engaged, motivated, and learned so much from her visit. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a talented guest—thank you, Ashley Wolff, for an unforgettable day!

Earn Money for Your School! 2026 Goldenwest Credit Union RUN FOR SCHOOLS on April 11, 2026. Start Time - 8:30 am Start and Finish at GWCU Corp. Center 5151 S 400 E Washington Terrace. Entry fees are students $5.00 and non-students are $10. 100% of your entry fee will be given to the participating school of your choice. To qualify for the donation from Goldenwest Credit Union to the participating school of your choice, participants must: Register before midnight on April 5th Complete the race and turn in bib tear-tag at the finish line. For safety reasons, bicycles, scooters, roller blades, roller skates, skateboards, etc., will not be permitted at the 5K Run for Schools. Anyone attempting to participate in the 5K with these items will be asked to leave the event immediately by the 5K sta and/or the Weber County Police Department. Strollers and dogs on a leash are permitted. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. This race will not be timed. Register online at gwcu.org/5k March 8th - April 5th.
